'These' are not just words, they are a warning!
The whole of Mumbai has been shaken by a terrible incident that happened in Punjab Colony in Sion Koliwada last night. A three-year-old girl was brutally tortured by a drug-addicted man named Anil Gupta. Today, that girl is fighting for her life in Sion Hospital. This is not just an attack on a little girl, but on the sensibilities of our society.
The amount of drugs is increasing day by day in Mumbai and other cities, many houses are being destroyed. The issue of safety of women and girls has become serious. The number of drug addicts has also increased in areas like Dadar and Sion, and women have complained to me about this many times. Just yesterday, the Indian Navy took action against a fishing boat carrying 5 tons of drugs in the Andaman Sea. Where does such a large amount of drugs come to India from? Where does it reach? And who is the mastermind behind it? It has now become imperative to get answers to these questions and dismantle the drug network.
MNS has taken a stand
for strict action against such men from the beginning. That is why in my pledge, I had promised to take strict action against drug sellers and users and today I am taking steps in that direction.

Although this man from Sion has been arrested
, arrest alone is not enough. A few months ago, an incident of a drunk patient raping a female doctor at Sion Hospital came to light. The investigation into all this must be completed expeditiously and effectively. The accused must be severely punished through judicial process.
If concrete action is not taken in this case, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will not sit still until such men are shown their place! These are not just words, but a warning. MNS's resolve for the safety of girls and a drug-free Maharashtra is unwavering. Now is the time for all of us to stand together and give a befitting reply to these men and their supporters!
Yours,
Amit Thackeray
